MARINE AUTOMATION

Marine Water Ingress Monitoring

MachSoft develops vessel-specific automation solutions to monitor water levels in selected compartments, generate alerts at defined thresholds and present relevant information to operators. We also welcome project-based work on other vessel automation and monitoring needs.

WATER INGRESS MONITORING

From sensor signals to operator alerts

A water-ingress monitoring application brings signals from selected sensor points, alarm logic and the operator view together. Level thresholds and alert behavior are defined around the vessel layout, installed instrumentation and operating procedures.

The technical scope is confirmed after reviewing the vessel’s existing systems and application requirements.

SYSTEM FUNCTIONS

Monitoring and alarm functions

01

Compartment-level monitoring

Present values from selected points according to the vessel arrangement and installed instrumentation.

02

Configurable alarm thresholds

Associate significant level changes with alarm states according to the defined operating logic.

03

HMI / SCADA visibility

Display measurements, sensor status and alarm information in a clear operator interface.

04

Vessel-system interfaces

Assess required signals and connections to existing control or monitoring systems against the vessel-specific scope.

VESSEL-SPECIFIC ENGINEERING

Monitoring requirements differ from vessel to vessel

Sensor type and mounting, environmental protection, cable routing, alarm priorities and external interfaces are assessed around the vessel structure and operating conditions. Applicability and approval requirements form part of the technical review.

Monitoring and alarm automation alone does not establish regulatory compliance or certification and does not replace approved safety equipment.

BROADER MARINE AUTOMATION

We also welcome other marine automation projects

MachSoft’s marine automation scope is not limited to water-ingress monitoring. We are open to project-based work involving vessel control, monitoring, alarms and system integration.

Engine-room monitoring

Applications that bring operating values and equipment status into operator-facing monitoring screens.

Tank and level monitoring

Level information and alarm logic for selected tanks, bilge areas or other compartments.

Pump and valve control

Automation and control interfaces based on existing equipment, operating requirements and safety conditions.

HMI / SCADA and alarms

Presenting information from vessel systems through central monitoring, alarm and reporting screens.

Modernization and integration

Updating existing control systems and adding functions through suitable signal or data interfaces.

Vessel-specific automation

We are open to discussing marine automation requests beyond a single device or monitoring function.

These are application areas open for project assessment. Scope is determined after reviewing equipment, interfaces, vessel conditions and applicable approval requirements.

Let’s discuss your marine automation project

Whether you need water-ingress monitoring or another vessel automation function, share the vessel type, existing systems and intended outcome. We can review the required control, monitoring and integration scope together.
